Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Myriad Travel representative and transferred to your hotel.

After check-in, enjoy a safari briefing before spending the remainder of the day at leisure.

Overnight: Kigali.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour – Volcanoes National Park

Following breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Kigali, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and selected cultural attractions.

Later, travel through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside to Volcanoes National Park, where you will check into your lodge and relax.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking experience.

Walk through the lush mountain forest accompanied by experienced park rangers in search of one of the habituated gorilla families. Once located, enjoy an unforgettable hour observing these incredible primates in their natural habitat.

Return to your lodge to relax.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Kivu Experience

After breakfast, drive to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu.

Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake, enjoying optional activities such as a boat ride, kayaking or simply taking in the spectacular scenery.

Guests wishing to experience a second gorilla trek may do so at an additional permit cost.

Dinner and overnight in Gisenyi.

Day 5: Return to Kigali – Departure

After breakfast, return to Kigali for your onward flight.

Depending on your departure time, enjoy some last-minute shopping before your airport transfer.
